Table of competences: course assessment
From module 3 on you will be asked to record the evidence in your competence table according to the competences we defined for you in the course.
List of competences
We identified 8 competences that are covered in the course. Each competence on the list should be matched with at least one piece of evidence.
- Digital competence, using ICT tools for teaching and learning in VET context.
- Work collaboratively online, synchronously and asynchronously (sharing ideas, communicating...).
- Analyse competences in general as well as participant’s own competences.
- Critically adopt general e-learning principles and particular solutions in their context.
- Design engaging e-tivities for individual or group work in accordance with the learning outcomes.
- Create and manage (publish, select, re-use, share, and evaluate) audio-visual teaching / learning materials in accordance with the learning outcomes.
- Facilitate, inspire and motivate the participants in an e-learning environment in order to achieve the learning outcomes.
- Metacognition (awareness and critical reflection on own teaching and learning competences).
Each module contains activities that support the development of the skills, acquisition and application of knowledge as well as reflecting and gaining new attitudes. There are various elements proposed for you to publish in your G-docs /learning blog according to the table, but feel free to select others if you think they will illustrate your competences better.
You may want to start your work by referring to the competences acquired or enhanced in Modules 1 and 2.
How to fill in the competence table
1. Moodle blog
- each competence should be posted in a separate blog post,
- each entry can be supplied with attachments, direct active links to the evidence (e.g. forum posts),
- use tags to manage the blog posts,
- you can share your posts with other users or make them private (but still available to the moderator).

2. Google Docs
A Google document will be created and the link sent to you by the facilitator. The document will be empty so that you may decide how to organise the competence table.
But here are a few tips:
- each competence should be posted in a separate column
- each module should be put in a separate line
- each competence should be matched with at least one piece of evidence from the course
- contribute to the table on regular basis - after each module put a link to your post on discussion forum or blog in appropriate line to show mapping the evidence with competence

All links to tables of competences that will be developed through the course by each participant will be gathered and available for everyone on the course wiki [LINK]. It may be helpful for you to see how others are managing this task.
How to find direct links to evidence
While recording your evidence it is important to publish in the competence table direct links to your posts on discussion forums and blog posts.
It is not enough to put the link to one forum thread where you published your post because the thread also contains the posts added by other participants. The same is true for the blog posts you will add to your competence table.
Go to the left hand “Navigation” panel, select My profile > Forum posts > Posts > Find the post you would like to link to in your table of competences and click on “See this post in the context” below the post. You will then be re-directed to the forum, where you can copy the link from the URL field.
The direct link to your post should end in a specific number e.g. #p4258

The direct link to your post should end in a specific number e.g. entryid=27
By linking the evidence in a way described above your competence table will be clear and you will be sure that the right evidence is linked with the right competences.
